20mph Speed Limit Restriction

For such a small village, we often seem to get a lot of traffic - sometimes going faster than it should! This is particularly worrying when you consider the number of children around the play area on Temple Street, our Primary school, residents going about their business, as well as the high number of walkers passing through the village on a regular basis.

Therefore we are pleased that Derbyshire County Council are proposing 20mph speed restrictions in our village. They are consulting on this until 15 May 2015. You can email the council on netmanadmin@derbyshire.gov.uk with your comments. The Residents Society think this is a great idea, and we urge you to send them an email to support this proposal.

See the map above for a more detailed view of the areas this will affect.
